The HOOSIER HOT SHOTS

"ARE YOU READY, HEZZIE?"

Paul Edward Trietsch, affectionately known as "Hezzie," is a native Hoosier. He was born on a farm near Arcadia, Indiana. He is 32 years old and lived on a farm during the grade and high schools.

Paul was an outstanding basket-ball player and is now a consistently good golfer and bowler.

He started working as an entertainer in 1922, and has always done comedy. His versatility has been a great asset. He does blackface, silly-kid, and toby characters, and plays several musical instruments. Hezzie's glorification of the washboard is copied by dozens of entertainers from coast to coast. He is a neat tap dancer and his wholesome type of comedy has made him a favorite with millions of listeners all over the country. Hezzie is the "sound effects" man of the Hoosier Hot Shots and has a very even temperament.

He married Bessie Burk of Darlington, Indiana and has one son, Paul, Jr.

"Are you ready, Hezzie" is the official tag line of the Hoosier Hot Shots and such phrases as "Fetch Up The Zither Hezzie" and "Your Time Hezzie" have been factors in establishing the Hoosier Hot Shots as a distinctive, original, and unique type of performers.

Hezzie's song whistles are sold in all music stores and he has long been rated the foremost performer on the instrument.
